Our Staff
Larry Goldsmith
Mr. Goldsmith has been the proud owner of the Gleason’s School of Gymnastics since 1982. He is a graduate of Canisius College and is a member of the College’s Physical Education Department.
Larry is a long-time member of the New York State Governing Board for Gymnastics. He has been the Regional Junior Olympic Chairman for 22 years and is one of the authors of the compulsory routines for the last 3 cycles. Larry presented the new routines at the Masters Workshops in Florida, Nevada and New York. He is the Niagara Gymnastics Team head coach and also directs the pre-school and instructional class programs. He holds a National Judges rating for women’s competition.
Mr. Goldsmith is the meet director of the Niagara Cup Gymnastics Invitational. He is the director of the Region 6 “Rising Stars” clinics and the Jacquie Hirsch ‘Clinic for A Cure’ (fund raiser for Roswell Park Cancer Institute). He has been a lecturer for several years at the USA Gymnastics National and Regional Congresses.
He is a former USA Gymnastics safety certification instructor and is a member of the Williamsville Central School District Wellness Committee.
Carol Goldsmith
Carol is an important part of Gleason’s Gymnastics. She is known for her enthusiasm, kindness and love for teaching. She holds a Masters Degree in Adapted Physical Education from Canisius College. She is currently teaching Adapted Physical Education at Erie Boces 2 where she has taught since 1982.
A former competitive gymnast, Carol is in the Canisius College Sports Hall of Fame.
Carol is a former High School gymnastics coach at Hamburg High School and Sweet Home High School. She was the WKBW Coach of the Year in 1985.
She is a National rated judge and judges several state meets each year. She is USA Gymnastics safety certified and CPR/AED certified. Carol is the head choreographer at Gleason’s and coaches all of our optional teams. She also teaches our Advanced class on Sundays.
